Today was a cold and rainy type day - I spent it huddled inside painting these tiny planets for a new piece in the works.
You will notice that this is a somewhat large post and a bit out of character for my blog, but I have decided to start documenting my mini trips more thoroughly, and what better way to kick this off than with a post about my beautiful (and recently engaged) sister.
We spent the day driving from my hometown to Riebeek Kasteel and Tulbagh to have a look at venues for her wedding. Both Riebeek and Tulbagh are extremely small towns, but they overflow with character and charm. There are numerous hidden gems tucked away behind dirt roads and corners. If you have a weekend to spare I would highly recommend booking into one of the many b&b’s or even The Royal Hotel (the oldest and most colonial hotel in the Cape).
